With just a few days to go until its release, Paramount Pictures revealed a final trailer for “A Quiet Place.”
John Krasinski directs and stars in this horror film about a family trying to hide from mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. “If they hear you, they hunt you.”
“A Quiet Place” also stars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds.
Paramount has put a lot of effort into promoting the film. It was the opening night selection at South by Southwest in Texas where it garnered enthusiastic praise from the crowd.
This is Krasinski’s third time directing a feature film. His first was the little-seen comedy “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.” He also directed the comedy/drama “The Hollars” in 2016 to mixed reviews. He is better known for his work in front of the camera. After appearing in TV and films such as “Ed,” “The Holiday,” and “Dreamgirls,” Krasinski’s breakthrough role came in 2005 when he played bored office prankster Jim Halpert on “The Office.” From there, he starred in the action film “13 Hours,” and romantic comedies including “It’s Complicated” and “Away We Go.” This will be his first foray into horror.
Emily Blunt made her breakthough in the 2006 comedy “The Devil Wears Prada.” She went on to star in many other films including “Sunshine Cleaning,” “The Young Victoria,” and “Edge of Tomorrow.” Blunt won a Golden Globe for her role in the TV movie “Gideon’s Daughter,” and was also nominated additional awards for “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Into the Woods,” and more. She dabbled in horror with the film “The Wolfman,” which won an Oscar in 2011 for Makeup.
Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds both had big years in 2017. Jupe appeared in “Wonder” and “Suburbicon,” while Simmonds made her film debut in “Wonderstruck.”
