It may be a few months yet before fans of “Stranger Things” will be able to watch the fourth season, but Netflix have released a teaser that will satisfy viewers in the meantime.

Titled “From Russia with love…” the teaser reveals what many fans of the show have been expecting – David Harbour’s Jim Hopper is alive and well. He’s had somewhat of a transformation in the hair department, but besides that Hopper is not dead like many characters believe him to be.

The third season of “Stranger Things” ended with (SPOILER ALERT) Hopper fighting Grigori and blowing up the gate room. Joyce (Winona Ryder) watched on in horror at what appeared to be Hopper’s death and when the show skips three months later it appears Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is dealing with the death of her father figure.

The final scene in a Russian prison mentioned an American, hinting that perhaps Hopper had survived. Now the teaser that was released on the official “Stranger Things” YouTube page confirms that’s the case.

The Duffer Brothers released the following statement to accompany the teaser:

“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….

Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.”

There is no news on a release date yet for the fourth season, but filming did start last month after Netflix renewed the supernatural hit back in September. The show is created by Matt and Ross Duffer who also write and direct the series. Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment produce the show, with Dan Cohen and Shawn Levy serving as executive producers alongside the Duffer Brothers.
