WATCH: Teaser Clip for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer Releasing Tuesday!

Spider-Man: Homecoming

The new full length trailer for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” debuts tomorrow, and to whet fans’ appetites, Sony debuted a quick teaser. The clip, which can be viewed below, teases a mid-air encounter between Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and The Vulture (Michael Keaton). Check it out below!

The first trailer for the film landed in December, providing the first look at the young and diverse cast in action. The trailer also features the first look at Michael Keaton as The Vulture.

Although not on obvious display in the trailer, which can be viewed below, two other villains will reportedly join Keaton’s Vulture as antagonists. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that “Fargo” actor Bokeem Woodbine and Logan Marshall-Green (“Prometheus”) play other villains in the film.

However, if the first trailer is any indication, the main focus will be on The Vulture. The Vulture was one of Spider-Man’s first real supervillains in the comics, and coincidentally the reason Peter Parker got his famous day job as a freelance photographer (the fictional tabloid The Daily Bugle placed a reward for whoever could capture a photo of The Vulture). Vulture is really Adrian Toomes (although other people eventually take up the mantle), a Staten Island inventor who created a flight harness that provided him with more strength and a longer lifespan. When his business partner embezzled him, he turned to crime for revenge and out of anger.

The film features a talented young cast in addition to its veterans. Abraham Attah, who wowed in his first major role in “Beasts of No Nation,” has a role in the film. The film also features Holland (who first appeared as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War”), Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as the rumored female lead, Michelle. Jacob Batalon, Hannibal Buress, Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr., Donald Glover and Selenis Leyva also co-star.

Jon Watts directs with a screenplay by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. The film is scheduled for a July 7 release date.
