Lionsgate has released the first teaser trailer for Fox News scandal film “Bombshell,” directed by Jay Roach (“Meet the Parents,” All the Way,” “Trumbo”). The film stars Charlize Theron (“Long Shot”) as Megyn Kelly, Margot Robbie (“Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”) as fictional channel producer Kayla Pospisil and Nicole Kidman (“Big Little Lies”) as Gretchen Carlson, the women who take on Fox News head Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) for his continued harassment and hand in the toxic news workplace.

Carlson sued Ailes in 2016, which forced him to resign before his death, but resulted in a reported $20 million settlement for Carlson. Shortly after, other women came forward to accuse Ailes of similar harassments. The teaser doesn’t show much, but does focus in on the three lead actresses as they come to share the same elevator.

“Bombshell” also stars Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Mark Duplass, Rob Delaney, Malcolm McDowell, and Allison Janney. Oscar-winning writer Charles Randolph (“The Big Short”) pens the script for Roach.
