Netflix released the official trailer for its new original series, “Lost in Space.”
The series is a remake of the popular sci fi series from the 1960s in which a family of colonists accidentally veer off course and crash land on a planet and become lost in space.
The show stars Parker Posey, Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Mina Sundwall, Max Jenkins, Taylor Russell, and Ignacio Sericchio.
Toby Stephens and Molly Parker star as the parents John and Maureen. Stephens has starred in film and television roles including “Black Sails” and “Die Another Day.” Parker previously appeared in acclaimed series “House of Cards” and “Deadwood.”
Taylor Russell and Mina Sundwall play the Robinson kids Judy and Penny. Russell appeared in the series “Falling Skies” and Sundwall starred in “Maggie’s Plan” and “Freeheld.” And Max Jenkins stars as Will Robinson. Jenkins previously appeared in the Netflix original “Sense8.”
“Lost in Space” is produced by Legendary Television. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote all thirteen episodes of the first season. The two previously worked on last year’s “Power Rangers” as well as “Gods of Egypt” and “The Last Witch Hunter.”
Zack Estrin is the series showrunner. He served as executive producer on spin-off “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” and the popular series “Prison Break.”
The complete first season of “Lost in Space” will be available to stream globally on Netflix on April 13.
