All good things must come to an end. That’s why tonight is a night full of finales, rather than premieres. Two major network shows close out their respective seasons. Meanwhile a cable competition show crowns a winner. Even with all that going on, there are plenty of other exciting new options to keep you entertained tonight. However, it’s always hard to refuse an old classic. This brings us to our pick of the day…

“Rocky” Marathon (Sundance TV) starting at 4 p.m. ET.

Everybody loves the Italian Stallion himself. Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky” has been a cultural touchstone for over forty years. Sundance TV honors the roots of the franchise in today’s “Rocky” marathon. The first film, which won Best Picture in 1976, starts at 4 p.m. ET on Sundance TV. Immediately following at 6:30 p.m. ET, “Rocky II” takes to the ring. Up behind it at 9 p.m. ET is “Rocky III.” Only the truly strong will continue into the night with the later installments of the franchise. “Rocky IV” tries in vain to put you to sleep at 11:30 p.m. ET. Finally, “Rocky V” plays tricks with your mind as you’ve stayed up until 1:30 a.m. to continue the marathon. By 4:00 a.m. you’ve completed the journey. Congratulations (and call in sick to work).

Tonight’s all about finales and fresh out of premieres. Catch the last of some of your favorite shows for the year and come back next week to see what’s taking their place.

keyart s1“The Good Doctor” hangs up his scrubs after a long season two. ABC’s highly rated medical drama ends its second season at 10 p.m. ET. The show casts Freddie Highmore as a doctor with autism who uses his special gifts to give his patients the best care possible. Switching gears to FOX, their new show “The Passage” winds down its freshman season. The two hour finale, which airs at 8 p.m. ET, finds the fate of the world in the hands of Amy (Saniyya Sidney) after a blast at a Project NOAH, a government facility up to no good. Catch the last glimpse of these shows before they return next season with new episodes.

Meanwhile on Food Network, one lucky kid will be crowned a baking champion. “Kids Baking Championship” airs their final two episodes tonight at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET. Hosted by Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman, three kids will be left to win the bake off. Their challenge will be to create cakes using items from their “bake sale” theme, such as toffee, rice cereal treats and more. Who will come out on top? Tune in to find out.

0 a2EU4R9gPNhkBReJWe love our franchise movies. That’s why certain franchises won’t die. Even after 50 years, James Bond still packs movie theaters for his latest mission. One of the best in recent memory was “Skyfall, which airs tonight on Syfy at 8 p.m. ET. The film pits Daniel Craig’s Bond against Silva (Javier Bardem), a rogue former agent with a grudge against a person who betrayed him. Speaking of long running franchises, the “Star Trek” franchise continues to take us to new worlds. Still, it’s hard to find a better entry in the series than “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” Catch Ricardo Montalban’s iconic performance on BBC America tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. Looking for something more recent? HBO has all the latest and greatest hits. Most notably tonight, the channel plays R-rated superhero sequel “Deadpool 2” tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
