There aren’t many new episodes on TV tonight, due to most shows being on their winter break. Even so, there are plenty of options between Christmas specials, competitions and debates. Another option is a buzzed about documentary from this year worth catching-up on, especially for true crime fans. Today’s pick of the day is…

Pick of the Day:
“Cold Case Hammarskjöld” (Streaming on Hulu)

The documentary “Cold Case Hammarskjöld” had its debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The movie chronicles the death of United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld, who died in a plane crash in 1961. The case remains open and filmmaker Mads Brügger sets his sights on the truth surrounding the case.

amyadams enchantedBy 2007, Amy Adams had already been nominated for her first Oscar (Best Supporting Actress for “Junebug,” 2005). “Enchanted,” the delightful fairy tale about Giselle (Adams) lost in New York City, is what made her a star. Adams exudes charisma in the lead role, which has long-rumored to be getting the sequel treatment. A perfect film for the whole family.
