Netflix has released six new posters for Martin Scorsese‘s “The Irishman,” following its stellar week at the Academy Award nominations announcement.

“The Irishman” was Netflix’s most nominated film, pulling in ten nominations including Best Picture, Director for Scorsese, and two supporting actor mentions for veterans Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

The film is in the top four of awards contenders, competing for the top prize against Universal Pictures’ “1917,” Sony Pictures’ “Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood,” and NEON’s “Parasite.”

The gangster crime drama is heavily contending in two technical categories including Best Film Editing for Thelma Schoonmaker, and Best Visual Effects. In the top categories, Steven Zaillian is slightly ahead of Taika Waititi’s “Jojo Rabbit” and the nomination leader “Joker” from Todd Phillips.

“The Irishman” is currently streaming on Netflix.

Synopsis:

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.
